The story of Hurst Builders started with family, hard work, and a dream for something lasting. In 2006, founder Daryl Hurst made a big decision. After spending 14 years working for a highly respected builder in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, he moved his family to Red Creek, New York, to begin a new chapter. He wanted to start a farm, raise his sons with strong values, and build a life centered on responsibility, faith, and hard work.

Even though farming became part of that journey, Daryl’s love for building never left him. In 2008, he returned to the construction industry and founded Hurst Builders with his son, Ashley, who was only 14 at the time. What started as a small family effort quickly grew into something bigger. Together, they took on a wide variety of projects, built strong relationships, and earned a reputation for honest work and quality craftsmanship.

Over the years, the Hurst family grew right alongside the business. All six sons have been involved in Hurst Builders at different stages, learning the trade, gaining hands-on experience, and helping shape the standards that guide us today. Now family-owned and operated by Daryl, Ashley, and Kent Hurst, our team brings more than 60 years of combined construction experience to every project.

Today, Hurst Builders specializes in turnkey custom homes and additions, from bare dirt to seeded lawn. We work closely with a trusted group of subcontractors who share our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and professionalism. From the first planning meeting to the final inspection, we focus on making the process smooth, organized, and personal.

Our team has grown to 11 members, and we continue to grow thoughtfully while staying selective about the projects we take on. That approach helps us stay hands-on and detail-focused, so every home we build reflects the care and standards we believe in.
